Niklas Sandberg, Swedish org. no. 861002-4674 ("Guidera", "we") is the data controller for the personal data processed via guidera.se. This page describes what we collect, why, and how to get in touch with us.

1. If you are a guide

When you create an account, we process your name, email address, and the information you provide about your tours, in order to deliver the service, manage your subscription, and communicate with you. Payment details for your subscription and payouts are handled by our payment provider, Stripe — Guidera does not itself store your card or account details.

2. If you are a customer booking a tour

When you book a tour with a guide via Guidera, we process your name, email address, phone number, and booking details in order to send a booking confirmation and reminders, and so the guide can receive and manage your booking. Your deposit payment is handled by Stripe and goes directly to the guide's account. The guide receives your booking details as the party actually running the tour.

3. Legal basis and retention period

We process the data above in order to perform our agreement with you (as a guide or as a booking customer), and keep it for as long as the account or booking history remains relevant, or for as long as we are required to under Swedish bookkeeping law for payment records.

4. Who we share data with

We share data with the subprocessors required to run the service: Stripe (payments and payouts), SMHI (weather forecasts, without sharing any personal data with them), and our hosting and database provider. We never sell your data.

5. Cookies and analytics

guidera.se does not use cookies for analytics or tracking. We use Vercel Web Analytics to see overall visitor statistics (e.g. page view counts) — this happens anonymously and without cookies, and cannot be linked back to you as an individual. If that changes, we will update this page too.

6. Your rights

You have the right to request an extract, correction, or deletion of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Contact us via the contact form and we'll help you. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).

7. Changes

We may update this policy. We will notify you of material changes by email or on the site well in advance of them taking effect.
